Funeral Services
Q. Why is music important at a service in the Funeral Home?
A. We have found that "live" music performed at the Funeral Home not only fulfills the wishes
of the family, but complements a growing trend within the Industry to have final services
celebrated at the Funeral Home.
Q. How have families welcomed the idea of having "live" music at their loved
one's funeral service?
A. In one word, APPRECIATIVE. To be given the opportunity to choose their own music which
they feel reflects the life of their loved one, and have it performed "live", is what makes the difference. As families become more aware of this service, Funeral Directors across the Lehigh Valley are being sensitive to the family's needs.
Q. What type of music is being performed, and is there a favorite hymn?
A. Viewing our Music Samples page, you'll see love songs, spirituals, and Broadway numbers.... contemporary as well as traditional. This list serves as a reference point from which the families may choose their favorite songs, or choose music which may not be on the list. After having shared music at over 250 funerals during the last year and a half, "Amazing Grace" probably remains as one of the most popular choices.
Q. Besides the Funeral Home, can families use our music service elsewhere?
A Yes. Music is available for the graveside service, as well as during the church service. Please keep in mind that Evelyn and I perform faith-based liturgical music within the context of a church service in order to glorify God's Presence as well as to celebrate and remember the life of your loved one.
